Bulk fan Obsessive Minogue collects magazines to wallpaper his home with Kylie

Portsmouth has really started to sizzle when super-sexy Kylie Minogue appeared on the cover of the local magazine of the city. But as quickly as they appeared in the streets the glossy magazines seem to disappear. A devoted fan of local seemed determined to hoard copies of the latest edition of CityLife.  As much as he called wallpaper his home with photos of the Aussie superbabe.

Neighbouring local eccentric SOAP Alistair Davenport, 38, who lives in a cottage near the seafront of Gun-Wharf, said he always loved Kylie Minogue since she was a TV star. "I think she has the most beautiful eyes," says Alistair. "When I saw copies of CityLife magazine is delivered to my local Portsmouth supermarket, I got an idea!  It was weird. It was as if his eyes spoke for me. »

If Alistair borrowed a wheelbarrow from a neighbor and began to collect as many copies of the magazine as he could. Shops, supermarkets, library and hospital. He then began his unique form of Interior design. Alistair explains; "It was simply the gluing of dozens of copies of the cover through the walls of my apartment. It took a few nights to get right, but now I have Kylie looking at me all the time! "

Regular readers have been however a little angry. Thus, the editor of the magazine, Duncan Williams, promised for the end of the summer a long print run arranged. So nobody will miss. Says the editor;  "We knew all that an interview and cover picture of Kylie descended well with readers the Portsmouth, but we were not banking not on Alistair more interest for the singer. ''

So he will not hold a grudge against Alistair Davenport? 'No, not at all,' said the CityLife Portsmouth Editor. "Alistair is well known here as a bit of an eccentric. He has even helped to distribute the magazine in the past. Most of last summer, he was very keen on hovercraft spotting and would be seen on the beach to photograph the arrivals from the Isle of Wight. Perhaps the heat this year, got to him... In any case, I think that this change of interest is a probably a very healthy sign. »
