Thomas Sabo fan Katy Perry is one of the main female artists leading the MTV EMA nominations. Brand ambassador Katy Perry is in the running with four nominations, beaten only by Lady Gaga who has a staggering total of six. Perry, who has been sponsoring Thomas Sabo jewellery since the beginning of 2011, is up for awards including Best Female, Best Pop Act, Best Live Act and Best Song for ‘Firework’. Perry has also confirmed that she will be performing live at the awards, which are to be held in Belfast, Northern Ireland at the city's Odyssey Arena on Sunday 6 November 2011.
Perry’s fellow pop princess Lady Gaga is up for Best Female, Best Pop Act, Best Live Act and Best Song/Best Video for ‘Born This Way’. She has also scored her sixth nomination in the Biggest Fans category. Other nominees include other female divas including Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez, while UK acts vying for Best UK and Ireland Act include Coldplay, Florence and the Machine, Jessie J, Kasabian and Adele. 2011 has been an eventful year for Perry. As well as performing a recent tribute for the late Freddie Mercury at an event held for his 65th birthday, she enjoyed success at the recent MTV VMAs and her worldwide ‘California Dreams’ tour continues going from strength to strength.
